Gavin Bradley is a singer/producer/songwriter hailing from Ottawa, Canada who has reinvented the love song. In a warm, deep vocal tone that blends Chet Baker with Depeche Mode, Gavin pours his heart out with honesty, beauty and emotion over a backdrop of moody piano & electro beats delivering songs that are at once original and classic. With a background in classical piano as well as a career as a remixer, Gavin writes, produces, and performs his own material, reaching out to anyone who has ever experienced the questioning and reawakening that relationships bring.
At 18 he moved to downtown Toronto to DJ and work in studios, and ended up working with a lot of great people. Along the way he did remixes for Tori Amos, Thomas Dolby and Esthero under the name Gavo scoring a Billboard Dance Hot Plate for his remix of Nelly Furtado's "I'm Like A Bird" and a Best RnB Juno for work on Jacksoul's "Sleepless" album. Most recently Gavin has also been busy collaborating on production work with renowned LA writer-producer Rick Nowels (Madonna, Dido) doing tracks for Nelly Furtado and Alex Band (The Calling). He is also collaborating with another LA writer-producer, Holly Knight (Tina Turner, Pat Benatar) on music for the 2006 World Cup Album, The Donnas and new Virgin Records recording artist Alaina Beaton. If that isn't enough Gavin has just started work on tracks for Dido, Joss Stone & Britney Spears establishing this immensely talented producer on a worldwide level.
Righteous, his house music production company with DJ Dwayne Minard also just completed collaborating with New York house singer MJ White. The second single "Love Is Love" was released on UK label Refunkt Records. Remixes of "In The Way" off of Gavin's record "Deep Freeze" has also been released on Delecto Recordings. Both singles are currently charting on the UK/ European house charts. Other work includes collaborating with Canada's top techno DJ "Deko-Ze" for Hi- Bias Records.
Gavin Bradley's full-length debut CD "Deep Freeze" as a singer/songwriter is the first official release on renowned producer/ artist James Bryan's imprint label UMI Entertainment. Recorded with Bryans' guidance over several sessions; James also lends his advanced musicianship & production skills to several of the tracks on the CD.
The result is a magical landscape of well-crafted love songs combining atmospheric pop with jazz influences. "Deep Freeze" is the kind of CD that you could just as easily put on at a sexy dinner party as you could listen to privately on headphones.
From the uplifting dance track "In The Way", the reflective & captivating "Secret Life" to the sweet tripped out vibe of "Good Friend" "Deep Freeze" is sure to leave its mark on the musical landscape of 2006.
