Roadhouse Rebels is a 4 piece blues rock band featuring Ray Vanderby on the Hammond C3 organ with Leslie speaker. The band was founded by Vanderby as an indulgence to his love of delta blues and 60's & 70's English rock. Ray is a Hammond organist/singer/songwriter/recording artist/bluesman and a veteran of the Australian music scene. He has many years experience including performing at Goulburn, Thedbo and Bluestone Blues Festivals, supporting Joe Cocker, Osibisa and Boomtown Rats as well as doing shows in various pubs and clubs in 4 states. He's been a sideman to some of Australia's top artists including: Blackfeather, Doug Parkinson, Marcia Hines and Stevie Wright. Roadhouse Rebels is based in Orange NSW and travel far and wide performing their mix of originals and covers in various venues. The band play delta blues & rock classics and originals with songs by Ray Vanderby, Robert Johnson, Sony Williamson II, Son House, Paul Butterfield, Al Kooper, John Mayall, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, Blues Brothers, Deep Purple, Cream, Free and The Doors.
