75.4% of Australia's CO2 emissions come from Energy sector and around 90% of electricity used in Australia is still generated from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal. Our Government is suggesting a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2020. It is strongly suggested by the majority of climate suggestions that to stop the Earth becoming more than 2c warmer, we need reductions of at least 40-50%. To get this we must invest in renewable energy - and now. We have the technology to do this - we just need the will.
