Bridging the gaps between folk-rock and classical, acoustic and electronic music, Matt Logan is an NYC-based artist with roots in (but not limited to) Belle and Sebastian, Leonard Cohen, Simon and Garfunkel, Erasure, and the Baroque, among others.
Self-accompanied by guitar, cello, and electronics, Matt Logan sings a blend of vocal and lyric driven music. He is joined by Ryan Messmore on keyboards and visual artist, Sarah Valeri, who draws and paints live at performances.
From smother.net: "New York City's Matt Logan bares his soul throughout this raw and gritty tale of acoustic folk music...He adds cello along with guitar and light vocals that weave his story-centric lyrics. Good stuff that reaches out of the trendier anti-folk scene that has haunted the East Village area for the past few years."
