Heart Tribe BIO
Heart Tribe are a funky reggae/dub world dance band who's tight yet improvisatory style and unique tempo changes keep the audience on their toes. They come from the North Coast of NSW and have shared the stage with the likes of King Tide, Oka and Ganga Giri. The unmistakable energy of Heart Tribe unites reggae and dub with musical influences as far ranging as to middle Eastern grooves, funk, Latin, electro and soul. They have a definite international flavour with a Belgian/Egyptian lead singer and an awesome collection of instruments, including shakuhachi, didgeribone (slide didg), a cimbalom (52-stringed instrument originating from the middle East), unique woodwinds, keyboards, midi controllers, delay pedals, a laptop and a super solid rhythm section equiped with a 5-string bass guitar and a wickedly complex drum kit. Come and enjoy the dancey, hi-fi and electro-organic sounds of Heart Tribe.
