DOUBLE RAINBOW + CLAPTON FOX + ROCOCO FAIR + THE POWER OF VOODOO DOUBLE RAINBOW are a big stupid rock band with too many guitarists? A friend once said we sounded like Roxy Music meets Kraftwerk but played by the Boss. Which sounds cool but doesn t really describes what we actually sound like. You could say we live in Acton and Hackney, or Acktackeney as we like to call it, and that most of us are from Chester. CLAPTON FOX ROCOCO FAIR are three gents from East London, and a mixed bag of curiosities: a pair of cracked and battered brogues; a vintage Casio watch; scraps of mosaic from the Moscow metro. An old-school pop sensibility with a darker, menacing rock edge. THE POWER OF VOODOO are twins Mikey and Rob and bassist James, or Wolfman as he is better known to his peers were pretty much jumping on the stage and raring to get going. With regular appearances at top alternative London venues such as the Windmill and the Ritzy over the past year, as well as appearing on two stages at the Latitude festival, Yeah Sparrow are touring the UK in the coming year with a mixture of intimate solo shows from frontman Kevin Hadley, and full band performances that look set to be as playful and impassioned as their lyrics suggest.
