However mixing them together is just what Comedian and Harmonica player Michael Connell is planning to do in a new comedy show. "I've been doing comedy for over eight years, and playing the Harmonica for the last four, and I've always kept my comedy and music very separate," Michael explains. "However, recently I've begun to notice there's a lot of similarities between the Blues and Comedy. For me, they're both about taking something negative, like being poor or getting cheated on, and turning it into something positive like music or laughter."

During the tumultuous and trying times of the 1930s depression, the Sideshow - a bizarre collection of anomalous 'freaks' - was a comforting reminder to 'ordinary' people that life could be worse. Penned by Bill Russell and Henry Krieger, Sideshow invites you into the lives of Daisy and Violet Hilton, conjoined twins raised by the traveling company of sideshow freaks and their cruel impresario. Join them as they struggle to come to terms with their confused identities, while experiencing the triumphs and pitfalls of fame and love.

Propelled by a memorable score of contemporary musical theatre with a Vaudevillian twist, Sideshow is a unique and wonderful show that will compel you to embrace your inner freak

ALL AGES + Impossible Odds, Krookid MC, Dadda Murray & Mez. It's been an extraordinary, life changing twelve months for Newcastle group The Last Kinection, but they are back with a new lease on life, a strong sense of purpose, and a national tour to officially launch their debut album 'Nutches'.

The Last Kinection formed in 2006 by siblings Joel (Weno) and Naomi Wenitong from the Kabi-Kabi mob of south-east Queensland, and Jacob Turier (aka DJ Jaytee). Weno is a former member of Local Knowledge, who won Music Oz Best Indigenous Artist in 2005, a Deadly Award for Best Group and performed for Triple J's Live At The Wireless. Naomi has been involved with music for a number of years, most notably from her role in female two-piece Shakaya, who toured with Kylie Minogue, Usher and Destiny's Child. The third member Jacob Turier has been making beats and playing to crowds for the better part of a decade.
