Event
Friday 2nd March 2012

Island Bar, Cockatoo Island, Sydney

The glorious surrounds of Sydney Harbour, stimulating conversation, a gentle leewards zephyr and Kitty Glitter, Harry K, PowerPuma + DJ Booth and more. This is the first time the venue has been used for a gay party! Kitty Glitter, Harry K, PowerPuma, DJ Booth Before you plunge headlong into the Hieronymus-Bosch-with-sequins landscape of Mardi Gras, why not gird your figurative loins (or your literal ones) with a little civility? A day-time-into-night cocktail party on Cockatoo Island. Which, Im sure, confirms your suspicion that two cocks are always better than one.

The glorious surrounds of Sydney Harbour, stimulating conversation, a gentle leewards zephyr and Kitty Glitter, Harry K, PowerPuma + DJ Booth and more straight up killing it on the decks. This will be the first time the venue has been used for a gay party!

After 40 years of hard work, Phil is finally receiving Australian and worldwide recognition as one of our finest musical talents

His versatility is well known and acknowledged - obvious from the shows, and the musicians he has

performed alongside, from Jazz - James Morrison, Don Burrows to big-band - Ed Wilson, the Royal Military College Band, to Country - Slim Dusty, Lee Kernaghan, Dolly Parton, to rock and blues - Jimmy Barnes, Roy Buchanan,

Don Walker, John Farnham and Ian Moss.

Phil's musical roots stem back to the 50's, 60's and 70's and his style has largely been defined by the classic guitar sounds of this era. His preference for the "instrumental tunes that defined the sound of the electric guitar when it was a new instrument". This is evident on his solo albums KAKADU SUNRISE and IN THE SHADOW OF THE BEATLES which contains some blistering country rock and blues as well as more than a nod to his SHADOWS roots, the joint EMMANUEL BROS. album TERRA FIRMA and also in his live work which incl

With a collaboration-rich history, Tim's previous albums include 2004's alt-country release Blazey, and 2007's low-fi gem Hummabyes, which were both received to high acclaim on the NZ music scene and featured many prominent guest musicians - notably Bic Runga, who went on to produce Blazey on her own label. When the day arrived we all went there and what we saw was unbelievable.

The place was the playboy mansion and that was turned in to a party land and it was filled with lots of hot and happening crowd and the party was not just a random party it was just amazing we all enjoy that night like anything and from that day we make sure that we don’t miss the rock n roll fantasy camp at all because it is the heck of a party and it is fun unlimited. Any party at the Playboy Mansion is guaranteed to be extravagant and exorbitant, but the Kandy Halloween Party tops them all. There’s the haunted forest, professional scare actors jumping out at you everywhere you turn, robotic monsters and a truly scary haunted house. Expert set designers and creepy dcor and lighting adds to the overall effect.

Now I'm not being racist at all here....but I have some serious issues with the way that some immigrant populations bring their dodgy standards of cleanliness to Australia.

To the filthy Pakistani who spits and drops litter in North Sydney. I hope I can one day spit in your lunch.

To the muslim family in the Grey Commodore at Jenolan Caves on Sunday - we saw you stop at the lookout and proceed to throw all of your food scraps and rubbish onto the ground. Within seconds we saw a gust of wind carry your rubbish into the valley. Nice one dickheads!

To the dickhead who leaves his cappuccino cup on the lawn next to the Stanton Library on a daily basis - one day I'm going to kick you in the head.

Oh yeh - nearly forgot! I also hate the fuckers who dump their ciggie butts on the footpaths and common areas in North Sydney. These disgusting things wash into the stormwater and end up in Lavender and Berry's Bay.

The Angels Reunited
Blog Entry
I saw the Angels Reunited last night at South Juniors, Sydney and wasn't expected too much especially after seeing the Footy Show but was BLASTED away by their rockin performance. I was reminded of why I was an Angels fan and why I always saw them live in the 80's.They are one of, if not only, the best live Aussie band to ever go and see - so full of electricity and energy. Doc delivered true to form, except for the running around like he used to (have to account for age) and the Brewster brothers just pumping out those memorable, melodic riffs was just fantastic, to say the least. If you were, are or going to ever be an Angels fan, you've got to go and see this tour. It's not to be missed.

Lotro gold:Creatures of Middle-earth: NazglOf all the unusual happenings throughout the lands in recent months, perhaps none is more strange and ominous than the appearance of the chilling Black Riders that lotro gold have been encountered between Bree-land and the Shire, as well as throughout the further regions of Eriador. These dreadful figures, cloaked in heavy, hooded robes which obscure their faces in shadow, speak little, but when they do, their hissing voices lotro instill terror and a cold fear that threatens to stop even the most stout listener’s heart. The curious way these strangers sniff the air, seeming to smell their intended victim, only serves to add to their dark mystery.Though the Black Riders have not yet caused physical harm to any in the surrounding regions (as far as anyone knows) there is a growing sense of dread that these creatures, astride their tremendous black steeds, are a bad omen for Middle-earth. One would do well to stay clear of these creatures as they approach,

Recent Headlines for Guild Wars Gold

Recent Headlines for Guild Wars GoldThe latest edition of the State of the Game wow gold series of articles about the art of PvP in Guild Wars gold has been posted on the Guild Wars official site. This week the focus is on Hero Battles. Although Hero Battles are a relatively new venture in Guild Wars, they have matured rapidly since their inception. One could argue that implementing the 1v1 ladder and placing top Hero Battles on Observer Mode have rapidly developed the metagame for Hero Battles. Although many players would claim those features have stagnated Hero Battles, they have also generated more interest in this new form of PvP.Going into a Hero Battle, a player needs a different frame of mind than other forms of PvP. Much like Alliance Battles, most effective characters in Hero Battles need a degree of self-sufficiency. Players tend not to bring a build balanced for 4v4 play because 4v4 battle occurs infrequently. If one of the players does not want to fight 4v4, it simply won't happen. Instead,

Hi All just passing by and writing some g?n?ral hint for this great piece of FREE to PLAY MMORPG ^^So you want to be a good martial art master just try this :1 / The inevitable Character template ( or build )Here at the beginning i strongly recommand you try not to be a mage like character simply because it deserve you during your advancement to the level when you have to become a clan member ( so then you can truly select your class melee or mage ect.. )So the best at the beginning is to be able to kill fast and have a lot of life in order to minimize the downtime ( using your chi meditation skill ).In order to do that go 2 strengh and 2 con each lvl or if you don't mind downtime a lot go 2 strengh 2 dex.2 / WeaponsAnother important thing is to decide what weapon you prefer and put all your masteries point in it. if you can't decide early don't put at the beginning and save for when you are sure of your choice cause each clan Kung Fu skills depend on a certain choice of weapon so don't make the bad choic

Australia has South Africa on the mat GROS ISLET (St. Lucia): Australia's bowlers tore through the heart of South Africa's batting in the first 10 overs of their World Cup semifinal on Wednesday, reducing the Proteas to 27 for five after 10 overs. Herschelle Gibbs (39) and Justin Kemp (31 batting) then came together to stem the rot to some extent before Gibbs fell to Shaun Tait. After 35 overs South Africa was 119 for eight with Andre Nel on seven giving Kemp company. Glenn McGrath did most of the damage, taking three wickets in three overs to dismiss Jacques Kallis, Ashwell Prince and Mark Boucher. Prince and Boucher were out off successive deliveries. The winner will play Sri Lanka on Saturday in Barbados and, with only a few overs bowled in St. Lucia, it looked very likely to be Australia. Winning the toss and batting first, the South Africans tried to match Australia's aggressive game and failed. The team recovered to reach 50 for five in the 12th over but the early damage had been do

Machine Vision Do's and Dont's by Austin Weber For some people, learning how to ride a bike or swim comes naturally. For others, it’s one of the hardest things they ever do. Implementing machine vision technology can often be a similarly easy or difficult scenario. Despite numerous advances, vision systems remain somewhat intimidating. However, thanks to new software and improved components, the black art of imaging and image processing is better understood these days. More manufacturers are becoming comfortable with machine vision, thanks to lower costs, simpler designs, increased flexibility, higher reliability, more powerful algorithms and increased processing speed. End users are also benefiting from increased functionality and new capabilities, such as higher resolutions, greater field of view and better color imaging. In addition, there is less propr

With Halloween around the corner and Thanksgiving and Christmas not far off, most of us think say the same thing to ourselves: This is the year I will shop early so I can avoid last minute shopping. Yet every year time seems to slip away and suddenly the holidays arrive. You end up racing to the stores, panic-stricken, trying to find candy in the empty racks or a beautiful turkey for the dinner table that is now triple the price because the only store that has any left is the high-end market down the street.

A ray of light shining down on creative personalities inspired to express themselves through various forms of art.

As the icy winter conditions in Detroit begin to slow and start to be persuaded to lie down in a comfortable bed for the year until it's time for the earth to rest again next winter, and as the snow and slush melt and drip off of the bumpers of city busses and taxi cabs, the electronic signals start to travel starting with whispers at first that can't be heard unless your listening with all of your heart.

KUALA LUMPUR -

Ever since the notion of "disco" was filtered through our collective system and guiltless straight people began to enjoy rhythm-based music again-OK, call it post-Acid House-Trance music has undergone a great cell division.

Genres begat micro-genres, which mutated into wholly new forms. Some conferred coolness, others solidified into cheese. That, in itself, was fine because, in clubland, nothing is worse than a tired sound. But DJs got so bent out of shape over how to categorize a particular track or producer, they often seemed to drown in the sea of minutiae. A music conversation with a DJ often resulted in a competition of cool, instead of the answer to the question: Um, did you like the record?
