Marina V to perform in London, England at the YouBloom Song Contest Finals & Awards Night

Extraordinary recording artist Marina V has been announced as one of the finalists in the

YouBloom International Song Contest.

Over 1,200 songs were entered and judged by a distinguished panel headed by the legendary and well respected industry veteran, Sir Bob Geldof. Mr. Geldof himself will be presenting

Marina V with her award.

As a Top 4 finalist YouBloom is flying Marina to London where she will perform at The Cobden Club. As a finalist Marina V has already has received much attention along with prize money of 2,000 euros.

First and foremost, skirting the boundary of Dubstep and Drum&Bass, Royalston (recently signed to Hospital Records) will be treating us to his special brand of forward thinking rhythms and twisted basslines. If that wasn't already enough, live stylings of uptempo electronica from Zodiac Project and a set from from arguably one of Sydney's finest Kate Doherty and Andrew Wowk. I remember when I was first exposed to the reggae sound of Rebelution, the Santa Barbara four piece. My best friend had just gotten back from Bonaroo in 2010, and one of the bands that he wouldn't stop raving about was Rebelution. I have likewise been a fan since, seeing them live for the first time last year in 2011. Their brand new album, Peace Of Mind, which is their third, was just released this week. The album has three different versions: the original, the acoustic, and the dub. My review will focus on the main, and will mention the other two later. The band has been together long enough now that they beginning to get their own groove. Refusing to settle for the moderate attention they have received up to this point, they are carving out a notch for themselves one record and concert at a time. Their large, devoted fan base will be stoked to know that somehow they have achieved the rare feat of releasing brand new material, yet still remaining true to their original sound. Style X just keeps getting bigger and better (as promised) with today's announcement that editors from GQ, Elle, NYLON, Huffington Post, Refinery29 and founders of Nice Kicks and StyleCaster are set to join its panel roster. Fashion industry leaders like The Man Repeller, Marcus Troy and Grungy Gentleman were previously announced as guest panelists. They will now be joined by fashion PR star Crosby Noricks, Elle.com editorial director Keith Pollock, emerging designer Sarah Nami Ahn, and countless other industry leaders.
