East Coast Bluegrass and folk legend Grandpa Banana - formally of The Youngbloods - returns to UK for the London date on his current tour. Expect a vast repertoire of great songs old and new. Grandpa Banana Ex-guitar player of 60s West Coast legends The Youngbloods and world class bluegrass and folk musician. Banana began his career in bluegrass on the east coast in Boston with "Banana and the Bunch, Old Time Music with Appeal". After several years in the east coast folk scene, he formed The Youngbloods with Joe Bauer, Jesse Colin Young, and Jerry Corbitt. The band moved from New York City to West Marin in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1967. The band's classic recording "Get Together" cracked the U.S. top 5 and sold over one million copies, achieving gold record status in 1969. The Youngbloods first chart single was "Grizzly Bear" in 1967, and was followed that year by the albums "The Youngbloods", and "Earth Music". LARKIN POE Rebecca and Megan Lovell first made their name with their sister Jessica as The Lovell Sisters, whose five years together culminated in appearances at The Grand Ole Opry and a collaboration with Elvis Costello.

Since forming Larkin Poe (the name of their great-great-great-grandfather) in early 2010, at the respective ages of 19 and 20, the folk and bluegrass duo have already released four seasonally themed EPs, toured with Brandi Carlile and the Indigo Girls, and re-worked Massive Attack's "Teardrop" into a soulful, rootsy mandolin and dobro jam. THE DEADLY GENTLEMEN

The Deadly Gentlemen started out a couple years ago as an experimental spoken word bluegrass band but changed the game plan to play epic folk and 'grasscore' as on their debut album 'Carry Me To Home'.


There are five band members: Greg Liszt on banjo and vocals, Stash Wyslouch on guitar and vocals, Mike Barnett on fiddle and vocals, Dominick Leslie on mandolin and vocals, and Sam Grisman on double bass and vocals.
