| | | Blog Entry | The competition is fierce and your company is just one in a billion others trying to grab the attention of consumers and the business world. How can you get your company to the top of the pile and start gaining the clout and money you need to succeed? In Part I and II of this article, I will reveal some of the top five marketing and promotion tools that are used by some of the biggest names in any industry. I call it Bulldozer Marketing. First, let me start with the basics. It's all about marketing and promotion. | | | Blog Entry | As a musician, bands have it easier than a solo artist in terms of cost to make a CD. Other than that, there are little or no differences. For bands/artists who wish to start the process of making, distributing, and getting radio airplay by themselves, believe it or not, you are starting your own record label. Even if your goal is to land a major recording contract, you will still need to gather more attention for your music by cutting, distributing and promoting your own music. Youll have a much better chance at getting a great record deal with a major label if you are successful on your own first. Read More... |
| | | Blog Entry | Let me preface this by saying that I have the utmost respect and admiration for songwriters who can write song after song. Those very talented individuals who, while they are sitting on the plane, in the bathroom, or at a dining table, grab a napkin, the roll of toilet paper, the safety guide on the airplane, or whatever may be handy and start frantically writing. While I have had this inspiration once in a while, its not a fluent talent. So my hats are off to you! The statistics were very interesting and I hope not conclusive of what is going on in the music industry right now, although I suspect they are indicative of it. Read More... |

| | | Blog Entry | Every year stress is a main ingredient during the holidays. With Halloween around the corner and Thanksgiving and Christmas not far off, most of us think say the same thing to ourselves: This is the year I will shop early so I can avoid last minute shopping. I will begin the holiday season fully relaxed and enjoy it! Yet every year time seems to slip away and suddenly the holidays arrive. You end up racing to the stores, panic-stricken, trying to find candy in the empty racks or a beautiful turkey for the dinner table that is now triple the price because the only store that has any left is the high-end market down the street. | | Jaci Rae | News Item | Arguments happen in every kind of relationship. They're just a part of life. Therefore, it's how we handle those moments that will define the future of our relationships and how well they prosper and grow. I am sure that you've heard it said many times that in a heated moment you have to watch your words. This is because words are very powerful and whatever you say can never be taken back. So try to follow a few basic steps when a heated argument arises in your life. Step back and don't say a word until you have had a chance to process the situation. Try to really hear, not just listen to what the other person is saying. Even if you don't agree with them, accept the fact that its how they feel and you will go a long way if you hear what they are saying. Your partner will begin to feel validated and believe that you do care about their feelings. Once you have listened to your partner's side, offer to sit down to discuss the matter together. | | Jaci Rae | News Item | Relationship…for some that word stirs up fears of commitment and for others it conjures up the idea of ever lasting love. For many on the dating scene ‘ever lasting love’ is their ultimate goal but how do you find someone to go on a date with and once you do how do you go from date to relationship? While the person you’re dating may be looking for Mr. or Mrs. Right, they may not be looking for Mr. or Mrs. Right now, meaning pull in the reins and go a little slower. But let’s start at the beginning instead of jumping straight to the finish line. Let’s get back to the basics. To get back to basics, let’s start with a history lesson. Dating can be a scene right out of your High School memory banks. Many are haunted by memories of their first date and the nervous tension that resulted from the anticipation of it: “Did I pick the correct outfit?” “Will I smell good to them?” “Is my breath okay?” “What will uk Read More... |

So chanted the policeman, rhythmically, as the crowd gathered around the place where the man had levitated off the pavement and, crying out aloud denunciations of Kentucky Fried Chicken as the food of the Devil, had flown off into the distant peaks beyond the edge of the city. All that was left behind was a small stain on the pavement, which a couple of masked, white suited SOCO's were trying to take samples. It had been an otherwise ordinary day. The coffee had gone slightly stale and lost its fragrance for being too long exposed to air as coffee grounds (I really must buy fresh beans in future) and the journey to work had been as dull and boring as ever. Sure, I sat and read "Ulysses" by Joyce, but I was not actually reading it in the sense of taking it in and understanding what was being said.
