How to Beat Pre-Holiday Stress and Save Big Bucks - How to Beat Pre-Holiday Stress and Save Big Bucks
Blog Entry
Every year stress is a main ingredient during the holidays. With Halloween around the corner and Thanksgiving and Christmas not far off, most of us think say the same thing to ourselves: This is the year I will shop early so I can avoid last minute shopping. I will begin the holiday season fully relaxed and enjoy it!

Yet every year time seems to slip away and suddenly the holidays arrive. You end up racing to the stores, panic-stricken, trying to find candy in the empty racks or a beautiful turkey for the dinner table that is now triple the price because the only store that has any left is the high-end market down the street.

Structured Blogging
Blog Entry
You will soon have some new methods for adding your events to listings sites like spraci.com thanks to the use of

microformats /

I've had a look at the wordpress plugin.

I think I could set it up so that when an event is posted to a blog via this plugin it is recognised as an event and posted to the event listings under the correct date, categories, city, etc.

In simple terms:

The use of microformats like hcalendar could provide lots of interesting ways for people to syndicate data such as event details, locations, contact details, etc to to other sites using standard blogging software while still keeping the data in seperate machine-useable fields.

Even worse, when you need to find that ideal last-minute gift for your loved ones, it is no longer available in the color or size needed and all the toys requested from Santa are sold out with no re-stocks in the near future. You end up paying far too much money for something that will most likely be returned or never used.

How can you beat pre-holiday stress and save

Some things: Thanks to the help of the fine folks at Justin.TV, the Flash-based webcast seems to be a lot more stable now, so I've made it a bit more obvious on the webcast page. Next time we're open and you're watching the webcast, give the Flash version a try instead of the RealVideo version, and let me know if it seems notably better or worse. Also: FREE FOOD this Saturday at New Wave City! We're trying to build awareness of the fact that we have a kitchen now, so this Saturday starting at 11PM, we'll be serving up food for free from 11pm until supplies run out. Burritos, quesadillas, sausages, nachos, etc. Come hungry! Besides trying to make more people aware that our kitchen actually exists, the other reason we're doing this is that our appeal hearing for the under-21 permits is coming up, and one of the things we intend to do in court is rebut ABC's claim that our kitchen is somehow inadequate for serving a reasonable volume of food. So this Saturday, we're going to serve just as much food as we po

Prepare yourselves for a shock -- our ABC hearing has been postponed again! After submitting our request for a hearing in November, it was originally scheduled for mid-April, and got postponed to mid-May for unspecified "scheduling problems". Now, after seeing the discovery on our expert witnesses, ABC's attorney says that he couldn't possibly respond in time. And the next date we could get on the court's calendar is in July. So that's eight months' worth of speedy justice so far. Seventeen months if you start counting from when we filed our permit application in February 2007. That part about "prepare yourself for a shock?" Naah, this should shock no one. I assume that this stalling tactic is just another part of their attempted war of attrition. It's the favorite tactic of every bureaucracy, since they're never in any hurry, and the longer they can stall, the more chance that we'll just go away, right? You may have heard about this whole "social networking" thing by now, huh? It turns out that there are these web sites out there, where sometimes people make with the clickety-pokety and tell each other what shows they're going to. The less useless of these sites tend to have a shiny, candy-like "I'M GOING!" button on them, the better to browbeat your friends (and "friends") into attending with you. It's all very Modern. So, we've been making more effort to keep our events updated on a number of these sites, and are linking to them from the calendar pages, e.g., this week's Hubba Hubba Revue calendar entry includes: Are you going? Let your friends know on MySpace, Facebook, Going, Upcoming, SonicLiving and Last.FM. That's kind of verbose, and I think it's a little weird to spell that all out in sentence form on every calendar entry, but I'm not sure how else to do it that would cause people to actually get the message, since this is apparently an unusual thing to do! There are a few sites like ShareTh

Well I am not sure if it is because of the damage to my cocalie in my inner ear (sorry i spelt that wrong) that happened when i collapse in hospital where my head is permanently ringing painfully or something (Something like that probably cause my brain to resonate on a different frequency and even fluctuate it resonate frequencies).. But the mind erase device doesn't work properly.. I seem to remember having my mind erased ;-)

Well there is a big event that has occurred a few times in this historical duct in a few days, a black 4x4 with no spoilers and dark windows, shoots me when I am walking down the street as _anon_ to post another letter to Alexander Shulgin.. The old ... Well I mailed that letter a few weeks ago, so I wont be there.

Then all time goes in Chronoboot and we are back to the start a few years ago... Least it has stopped folding over and over, it was making me dizzy and was annoying - time is stable again... Whoever been pinging me from domain classes that don't even exist yet *waves* - Re
