The event will be held at Kitty Oh' Sheas on Caxton St, Petrie Terrace on Saturday 31st of May 2008 from 2pm with performances by Nina May, Yeo & the Fresh Goods, Doz, and Steven Childs (from Repeat Offender).

This all ages event is a charity show which will donate all fund raised to 'To Write Love on Her Arms'. This charity deals with drug abuse, suicided, and depression. Although U.S based, 'To Write Love on her Arms' (TWLOHA) donates a percentage of their funds to all different charity, including 'Kids help line' in Australia.

'Love is the Movement's mission is simple, to raise as much money as possible to assist those who need help, by getting people engaging in an enjoyable and worthy event.

Brasil's major cities have some of the most dangerous slums in the world

known as 'Favelas'. With limited food, crime-ridden streets, guns and severe

drug trafficking, children are given little hope for a normal life.

Remarkably, this environment has also given rise to the world's most

in-demand urban musical scene; the sound of funk carioca, or baile funk

(Portuguese for "funk ball").

After the two previous highly successful 'Melbourne Funk Balls' in 2006, and

a sister event in Sydney earlier this year that have all raised thousands of

dollars for these kids and their families, international music crew Uber

Lingua offers Melbourne the chance to come together again on Saturday May 12
