Numatica is the down tempo project from Melbourne based producer Andrew Hunt focusing on dub styled sounds which incorporates ambient, chill and dance elements for both listening at home or at festivals. Growing up in New Zealand and playing guitar from an early age Andrew has played in bands of various styles in both New Zealand and Australia over the years. Numatica came about by wanting to incorporate all the various elements of electronic and acoustic music that Andrew enjoyed into the one project, with the aim of keeping the songs melodic and rhythmic with interesting song structures. Shiva Sadhana transports you into a spiritual realization which can be either enlightenment, pure love of God (prema), liberation (moksha) from the cycle of birth and death (Samsara), or a particular goal such as the blessings of a deity as in the Bhakti traditions.

Sadhana can involve meditation, chanting of mantra (sometimes with the help of a japa mala), puja to a deity, yajna, and in very rare cases mortification of the flesh or tantric practices such as performing one's particular sadhana within a cremation ground.

In case you're not aware of Steve's work, Zen Paradox was established in 1991 by Steve Law as a solo outlet for his more techno-oriented electronic music work. Steve had previously been a member of the groups Foil and Guild of Fire, and is a current member of Black Cab and High Pass Filter. His other solo projects include Mutagenic Mind, Mr. Suspicious and Solitary Soul.

He's been producing avant garde and electro-acoustic music since 1984, and in 1996 was awarded the ABC Classic FM Computer Music Award. He's also collaborated with many other artists, including recorded works as Starseed Transmission (with Andrew Park), The Sonic Voyagers (with Voiteck), Retreat Syndrome (with Andrew Belcher), The Mutagen Server (with Ollie Olsen), Son of Science (with Andrew Garton) and Memory Geist (with Bakis Sirros).

His live collaborators include Monolake, Andy Vaz, Atom Heart, Tetsu Inoue, Riou Tomita, Alistair Riddell, Ash Wednesday, Stephen Richard

Just a year ago a new name appeared on the international techno landscape. An artist who has a vivid past, lived the live of rocknroll for almost 10 years, playing all the clubs in Greece and who was voted one of the best DJs in Greece... stopped from one day to the other to quit with his past and to beginn with "something" new. His name was Mihalis Safras. He soon began buying equipment and learned quickly to produce a a "fett" powerful electronic sound. But other than that it is his personality that struck Riley Reinhold which led to a signing of up to now five 12+#8243;s on Trapez limited. Mihalis Safras is also called the "octopus". There is no other man in techno business who can communicate with so many people, talk about so many different topics and still manage at the end of the day to come up with superb tracks. Sure some people will say there is too much Mihalis Safras around referring to his remixes for BPitch, Great Stuff etc... but the man has a heart as big as Mykonos and the speed of Pegasus.

A sequel to the early 2008 first volume, My Favorite Things Vol. 2 continues the celebration of Japanese-based Mule Musiq's fifth birthday with an eighty-minute collection of exclusives and previously-issued vinyl tracks by Isole, Move D, Lawrence, Strategy, Minilogue, DJ Koze, and others. Such names might suggest that the release is heavily club-oriented but in fact it's anything but a raucous affair, as is immediately intimated by the splendorous seaside ambiance of "Ocean Wave (Across the Wave Mix)" courtesy of deep house artist Kuniyuki under his ambient guise Koss.
