APO Arts Academy 2012 Summer Camp

A challenging and rewarding week of intensive dance training from leading Australian dancers and musical theatre performers is on offer, with APO Arts Academy opening its 2012 Summer Camp for enrolments. The Summer Camp offers dancers and musical theatre students a taste of APO's industry recognised courses, led by highly accomplished members of its full-time teaching faculty.

Available to local, interstate and overseas students of all ages, places at the Camp are popular among performers looking to further their studies, hone their skills and expand their dance repertoire. Classes include tap, bal-let, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, lyrical, technique and dynamics, repertoire, Spanish dance, musical theatre, group vocals, acrobatics and acting.

The 2012 Black Diamond Blues & Tattoos Convention will be held March 30th thru April 1st, 2012 at the Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This event will showcase some of the most talented award winning tattoo artists in the Midwest along with a variety of entertainment including live musical performances by today's hottest blues bands all 3 days, tattoo contests, performers, and art fusion. The art work from the art fusion will be auctioned off on Sunday with the proceeds going to the Autism Society of America. There will be unique vendors, and a tattoo lottery with the proceeds going to the Shriners Hospitals. The Sloan Convention Center will have a full bar set up at this event and the Jager Girls will be there. There will be after parties Friday and Saturday nights at a location to be announced at the show.

Formed in April 1967, with Simon Nicol, Richard Thompson, Ashley Hutchings and Shaun Frater, Fairport rapidly developed from playing cover versions of American 'west coast' style music to an individual style which melded rock music with traditional English tunes and songs.

Bedevilled by numerous personnel changes they temporarily disbanded in 1979 but reformed in 1985.

Since then, they have enjoyed stability and continue to tour and record regularly.
