Zubin Kanga challenges the sonic and dramatic conventions of the piano recital with new and recent works from Australia and the UK. The recital features a newly commissioned work by Michael Finnissy that alternates between music inspired by Pre-Classical composers of the mid-18th century and 20th century modernism. Also receiving its premiere is David Gorton's Orfordness, inspired by recently declassified reports of secret military research in Suffolk. The recital also features innovative new work by Australian composer Alex Pozniak as well as a performances of Claudia Molitor's playfully theatrical Tango and Rolf Hind's groundbreaking virtuoso work, Towers of Silence.

Fairport Convention are often credited with being the first English electric folk band. Full Electric Band play Kinross. Fairport Convention Fairport Convention are often credited with being the first English electric folk band.

Formed in April 1967, with Simon Nicol, Richard Thompson, Ashley Hutchings and Shaun Frater, Fairport rapidly developed from playing cover versions of American 'west coast' style music to an individual style which melded rock music with traditional English tunes and songs.

Bedevilled by numerous personnel changes they temporarily disbanded in 1979 but reformed in 1985.

Since then, they have enjoyed stability and continue to tour and record regularly.
