Let me preface this by saying that I have the utmost respect and admiration for songwriters who can write song after song. Those very talented individuals who, while they are sitting on the plane, in the bathroom, or at a dining table, grab a napkin, the roll of toilet paper, the safety guide on the airplane, or whatever may be handy and start frantically writing. BEIJING, Oct. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- China's largest oil and gas producer, China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), has reached a deal with Europe's largest oil refiner Total in jointly tapping the country's domestic oil reserve in a move to meet its surging demand for energy.

The Sino-French oil company alliance will work on the Sulige gas field, located in the Ordos Basin in northwest China, Liu Weijiang, said CNPC spokesman for overseas business, quoted by Saturday's China Daily.

Industry sources said the Sulige field has gas reserves of up to 602.6 billion cubic meters.

"It is only a set of framework agreements, and more follow-up projects are still under discussion," Liu said on Friday.

Whatever one could say about Hills Rolling, the moniker of one-man band Trey McGriff, you can't accuse him of having shallow roots. There are old schoolers (Otis Redding, The Beatles, Pink Floyd), new schoolers ( The Killers, My Morning Jacket), tweeners (Nirvana, Dinosaur, Jr.) electro types (The Cure, Depeche Mode) and eclecticians like him (Beastie Boys, Beck). No doubt this is in part a smart-ass commentary on the "what are your influences" question. Minneapolis based music studio C-Sharp Productions is featured in an article in the April issue of More Magazine. The magazine is a national women's magazine and is on newsstands around the country now.

"The magazine did a story on women who followed their dreams. One of the dreams they featured was recording a CD," Chad Sharp president of C-Sharp Productions explains. "They contacted me to find out what it costs to record a CD."

Sharp has been producing and recording CD's with independent artists and bands since he started C-Sharp Productions in 1996. Sharp moved the company to Minneapolis from Mitchell, SD in 2007. He has worked on projects in many styles like pop, country, rock, dance and R&B. Sharp said besides recording with artists he also helps them with traditional and online music promotion.

"The music industry is changing very quickly. Online promotion is the future and it is really happening right now," Sharp says.

Size Matters!

From a DJ's viewpoint, the function room size is one of the most important factors for the success of your party. A room that is licensed for 150 evening guests is (reassuringly!) a much better atmosphere with 150 guests in it. If the number of guests were, say, 60 in the same room then crowds become patchy as they space out, and a lot of the intimacy is lost. If the only available suite for your wedding day is too big for your needs, ask if it can be made to look smaller using room dividers or ornamental screens.

Delights for all DJs to see upon entering a venue are lots and lots of carpets and curtains! All soft furnishings soak up sound waves and thus reduce that dreadful echo effect found in many village halls. High pitched roofs are also a bit of a pain where sound is concerned - it tends to rise up and swirl around in the rafters, again creating echoes and also losing momentum. Hailing from the quite streets of Orangeburg, SC, DJ Speedy, also know as

Harvey, is a rising star in the music industry. Having produced some of

today’s hottest music such as Steppin Out by recording artist Big Gipp ft

Sleepy Brown of Outkast (2003), this small town country boy is definitely on

top of his game.

DJ Speedy began producing tracks as a side hustle while mixing on South

Carolinas Hottest radio station Big DM 101.3 FM. Working side by side with DJ

Prince Ice, on the Ice Cold Radio Show, DJ Speedy wasted no time

networking and branding himself as an “A” list producer. After mastering his

ISC is recognized as one of the most prestigious songwriting competitions in the world.
