World renowned rhythmic didgeridoo virtuoso and percussionist Ganga Giri(pronounced gun-gah gear-ree) has announced that he will be heading out around the country to launch his new album Good Voodoo.

A pumping percussive multi-layered experience of complex grooves and raw natural sounds, Ganga Giris music is a melting pot of genres and cultures. Ganga mixes an array of tribal percussion (congas, djembe, bougarabou, Nigerian talking drum, mbira) and indigenous flavours (didgeridoo and dance) into a deep earth dance experience - fusing aspects of dub, dancehall, reggae and electro genres. Their funky, poetic and hugely infectious sound, massive support for our charity Music4children, and an unbelievable live performance, is why they're one of the White Lion's favourite bands.

Every gig at the White Lion raises funds for Music4Children (www.music4children.org), a charity that has broken the records for the World's Highest Gig on Mt. Everest, and the World's Longest Gig in London. Music4Children has raised enough money to build an orphanage in Dhulikhel, Nepal, and runs free creative workshops for local children in the White Lion, Streatham.

Donations on the night go directly to these causes, and in May 2012 we will reclaim the record for the World's Highest Gig.
