A recent news piece on CNN Prime News Tonight with Erica Hill revealed evidence that microwave popcorn could be harmful to your health. In the news piece it was discovered that Fluorooctanoic Acid was shown to be in high levels in microwave popcorn bags.

Fluorooctanoic Acid, which is added to the microwave-popcorn bags as a resistant coating, releases onto the popcorn when the bag is heated up and is then absorbed into the bloodstream and stays there for a long time. This chemical appears to be carcinogenic in lab animals. The FDA is now studying the affects of this chemical in greater detail.

The Band Biography

Y2N and Aruya met at 19th march 2003 on a band and they discovered a new concept of music, mix of GOTHIC, PSYCHEDELIC and CLASSIC. Each of band personel is ex from some well known local stage band. And then we Gathered since 2003 on june 5th, our first formation are Y2N(vox, piano, string), Aruya(geetarz), Belly'd(low end), Juffreax(beat maker) as SILENCE OF SADIE. We're focusing on a stage and recording band. After a few month with stage performance and a few demo's, the drummer (juffreax) freak out and dissapear (we never heard any of his news at all). The show must go on , after he left, just three of us still working on the recording studio, fixing and making new concept. In latest December 2003, two members are joining with us, Coco(drum) and Sea-gate(keyboard , programmer) and in early january 2004 we're completely fixed and we change our band name as SADIE till now. Established in 1998, the Red Bull Music Academy has emerged as the pre-eminent gathering of DJs and music producers in the world. A creative and cultural exchange of music ideas, the Academy teams established artists with the worlds best up and coming talent in two 12-day semesters of hands-on workshops and discussions about how life in the music industry really goes down.

In its 10 year history the Red Bull Music Academy has been held annually in some of the worlds most vibrant and musically savvy cities including; New York, Dublin, Melbourne, Rome, Seattle, San Paulo and most recently, Toronto. 2008 sees the Academy head to Barcelona, Spain, where world-class clubs pop 'til dawn and the terms 'fusion' and 'avant-garde' are not buzz words but techniques to be applied to everything from deconstructed orchestras to art installations overflowing on street corners.

It is strange to think that the HorrorPops were relatively unknown previous to playing on the esteemed Warped Tour. Now this Psychobilly band from Denmark just seems to be steamrolling. Kiss Kiss Kill Kill is their third album on Hellcat and it proves that this band is as consistent as any others out there. The whole album is fun and driving with nary a throw away track. It does seem like the HorrorPops may be on cruise control though. There isn't much difference between their three albums. The thing they've got going for them is quality songwriting and tight musicianship. While they do have a little of that Psychobilly sound going on they appeal to a lot more than just fans of that genre.

Listen to "Boot2Boot" and you'll see just how fast and furious these Danes can get. Patricia Day's voice is meant for this type of music. She has the snarl that might have you thinking of Courtney Love on a good day.
