UK triphop dubbers 3head have been described as 'dubbed out and twisted,' ' The Balanescu Quartet jamming with King Tubby an inspired mix of razor-sharp strings, trippin' horns and colonic fuzz-bass. The Brixton based 3head is MC Ras Bogle, Tinderstick drummer Al Macaulay, violinist/arranger Calina de la Mare and guitarist Dave Woolfson. Along with ex Moontwist vocalist Ruth Rogers-Wright and bassist John Thomson (Nectarine No.9 and Scott 4)., and input from Adrian Sherwood. Ex pat' and songwriter Ruth Rogers-Wright will perform a set of old and new (tracks from as yet unreleased cd) at the Spanish club on Friday supporting Linda Hunt. The Orb have been amongst the most fearlessly and fascinating sonic marauders on this or any other planet and Vuja De is the first single from Their new album entitled 'The Dream'. The album was made by head honcho Alex Paterson, ex-Killing Joke bassist Youth, former Dreadzone member Tim Brian and a host of guests. Although the line up may have changed over the years, the knack of hitting the spot certainly hasn't. Paterson describes the album as harking '...back to the original spirit' of their first two albums. And the new single, Vuja De, IS reminiscent of The Orb's breakthrough single Little Fluffy Clouds.

The Orb take us on a happy journey through time and space where dub and early-nineties dance are mashed up and overlaid with jaunty samples, and guest vocals from Aki Omari. The original is a good track in it's own right but it really comes into it's own as a package when you give the respective remixes a listen.

On Dancefloor heat The Subliminal Kid invites his studio colleagues Van Rivers and Markus Enochson for a live dub and mix session. Been Through arrives three years after Fenin's first long player 'Grounded' (2005) on Shitkatapult. His first release on T.Raumschmieres label was the "Container" Ep in the late nineties followed by various 12"s and remixes for labels such as Eintakt, Revolver, Metosound and Echocord. Whereas 'Grounded' was a mixture of techno, reggae, dub and electronica soundscapes, his new album showcases his songwriting skills and is claimed more to be an electronic-listening album influenced by :dub, electronika, breaks and techno.
