The Band Biography

Y2N and Aruya met at 19th march 2003 on a band and they discovered a new concept of music, mix of GOTHIC, PSYCHEDELIC and CLASSIC. Each of band personel is ex from some well known local stage band. And then we Gathered since 2003 on june 5th, our first formation are Y2N(vox, piano, string), Aruya(geetarz), Belly'd(low end), Juffreax(beat maker) as SILENCE OF SADIE. We're focusing on a stage and recording band. After a few month with stage performance and a few demo's, the drummer (juffreax) freak out and dissapear (we never heard any of his news at all). The show must go on , after he left, just three of us still working on the recording studio, fixing and making new concept. In latest December 2003, two members are joining with us, Coco(drum) and Sea-gate(keyboard , programmer) and in early january 2004 we're completely fixed and we change our band name as SADIE till now. I have struggled with metal. Too often the obvious technical quality of the music is, in my opinion, ruined by the cookie monster style vocals which are used. I know that, for some, this is an essential component of the music, but it does make it inaccessible to someone who is coming to it anew to find some longhair growling incomprehensibly about demons and dragons. It was refreshing then when Jools (thanks mate) suggested I listened to Agis by Norwegian outfit Theatre of Tragedy.The songs have a degree of elegance about them which I find lacking in other examples of the genre. Credit for that must go, almost in its entirety, to Liv Kristine who provides the soprano female vocals on the album. These combine with the harsher vocals of Raymond I. Rohonyi who has apparently toned down his growling from earlier albums. Most of his vocals are almost spoken and rarely growled. Yet, my favourite track, "Venus" is the one where he returns to growling, albeit in a less over-the-top manner than one might have become
