Gypsy Shred Fest The Barons of Tang, The Woohoo Revue and The Crooked Fiddle Band (Sydney) Gypsy Shred Fest in the Hills

Belgrave audiences will witness an intense gypsy metal shred fest when three of the country's most hardcore gypsy bands descend on Ruby's Lounge on Friday 6th March. Doors open 8:30, admission is $15.

Featuring The Barons of Tang, The Woohoo Revue and The Crooked Fiddle Band (Sydney), the gig will be an unofficial title fight to see which Australian gypsy band has the most brutal riffs and can shred like its 1982.

Inner city audiences can decide for themselves when The Crooked Fiddle Band play at Bar Open on Thursday March 5 and The Woohoo Revue play there on Saturday March 7.

Fresh from disembowelling the carcass of predictability, the Barons of Tang will molest the crowd with their brand of incendiary mayhem. Expect an intense full-speed-ahead death assault from the dark masters of gypsy death core.

Melbourne's hottest Gypsy Dance Band The Woohoo Revue Hobart audiences can expect to witness two nights of incredible gypsy music played by one of Melbourne's hottest world music bands when The Woohoo Revue perform at the Alley Cat in North Hobart on Friday 13 and Saturday 14 March. Doors open at 9, admission is $7.

The shows are part of a nationwide launch of the new CD, Dear Animals, which has taken the band throughout Victoria, NSW, the ACT and now Tasmania.

This will be the band's second visit to Hobart following a thunderous show at the Alley Cat's First Birthday Party last November.

After debuting in 2008, The Woohoo Revue has quickly become a frontrunner in the vibrant Melbourne gypsy music scene.

An exciting new band with old world influences, The Woohoo Revue apply a rock n' roll blowtorch to gypsy tunes- their scorching hot live show incites dancing, crowd surfing, and even speaker biting.

The Famous Spiegeltent, Samsung Mobile Festival Garden, Hyde Park

Spawning from the fiery pits of Melbourne, The Barons of Tang is an eight-piece ensemble who bastardise traditional gypsy and tango music to create an incredibly catchy and highly danceable genre they call "gypsy death-core".

The Samsung Mobile Festival Garden is located on the corner of College and Park Streets. The closest train station is Martin Place (Eastern Suburbs/Illawarra line), or St James (Bankstown/Inner West line).

Entry to the Garden is free however capacity is limited and subject to availability at all times.

Eastern Electro Fusion Gypsy Noise Lord Lingham (PBS), Sakamoiz (Uber Lingua), Kaz (Oorja), and Mixta X The DJs in the line-up are preparing very special sets of their favourite Indian, Middle-Eastern, Turkish, and Gypsy fusions with post-modern beats and electronics.

Kaz: originally from New Delhi, Vikas organized and DJed in many underground parties in

India before moving to Melbourne in 2005. His sets are a fiery mix of Indian ragas and folk

Sakamoiz: a resident selector with Uber Lingua-Melbourne and Rogue States, this post-Swiss
