First up Paul Maddox combines with Sam & Deano aka The Tidy DJs to bring you 'Nut Job'. Quirky vocals, Jacking riff's and a beat so Skippy the kangaroo's in Australia will be dancing to this.

Backed up with 2 remixes from future scene leader Vandall bringing his Tech Dance vibes to the table and with a mighty 'Tidy Two' remix from the Scarlet Pimpernel of Hard Dance, Guyver.

Storm's Jimmy Dean makes his debut on tidy with 'Dont Give Up'.

Taking the classic vocals from Inner City's 'Big Fun', Jimmy goes straight for the funk with a heads down no nonsense Hard House groove. BK ups the tempo with a mix suited for the moor peak time floors.

A couple of years back Lightsounds pioneered a way for our customers to release their own original music via the Circuit Breaker CD. With a nationwide callout we received hundreds of entries from all over Australia and even from ex-pats living in Japan and the UK. The debut Circuit Breaker CD established a new standard in home grown electronic compilations when released in 2007. Since October is one of the busiest months of the year, it made sense to split our normal offering into an early installment, & this special addition to cover the later weeks & Halloween…

If you missed it, Capitol Punishment provided an absolutely awesome night for the scene. Held in the elegance of Ultra Bar, it drew a truly magnificent crowd who played, partied, & danced all night long. Indeed, an incredible line-up of top DJ's offered a high level of energy to keep the dance floors buzzing, while top performers, go go's, models, & an array of luscious fashion provided just the right blend of entertainment & intrigue to balance out the evening.

We'd like to thank everyone who made it out, & EVERYONE who worked so hard to make it a great night. Indeed, I'd like to personally thank model Nicotine for putting her heart & soul into creating such a fabulous event. Planning has already begun for 2010, so we'll look forward to seeing you next year!

Channeling early 90's house like La Bouche and C&C Music Factory, Roisin Murphy makes a bold statement for 2010. It was only a matter of time before the obsession with 80's music led to the re-discovery of music from the 90's. Alphabeat brought it back with "The Spell" and now Roisin tackles it with "Momma's Place". Sometimes it is hard to see past the uber-quirky singer of "Ramalama" and her work with Moloko, but despite her varied forays into musical oddity, she's got a powerful voice that suits electronic music, and it's good to see her use it so well. It's interesting to note that such an aggressive retro dance track is dedicated to her newborn daughter. The single is slated for release in the UK on January 18th, along with a few mixes that will likely find "Momma's Place" on hipster playlists everywhere.
