Snork Enterprises * snork012-6 * Dagtekin + Schachta * Komis Humpty Records New Releases
Syndicated
Dagtekin + Schachta is a new friendship between Tufan Dagtekin + Christian Schachta (aka Syntax Error who already released on Snork as himself and Snork). They offer 2 tracks which were made between Giessen in Germany and Istanbul in Turkey. All tracks have been recorded finally in Istanbul at Effective Studios which are run by Tufan Dagtekin. Both tracks have a dark deep atmospherically bassline and the first track "Geisterbuch" has this spiritual voice which helps to exorcise your ghosts and demons and brings you into trance and to feel free on the dancefloor while the air is vibrating around you. "Tuenel" is more four to the floor like with its little acidparts and some progressive synth streams. Side B brings you the man from Re:connected also known as Martinez with his long remix of Geisterbuch who ensharpened the darkness of the original with his little housy influences. http://www.humpty.de?id=47&aid=20486&lang=en

San Francisco (California), USA - The Rough Guide to Turkish Caf (RGNET1215CD) demonstrates that Turkish music is much more than Whirling Dervishes and efforts in the Eurovision song contest. It has inspired the styles of many Mediterranean regions and, located between Asia and Europe, embodies a vibrant melting pot of sounds. From traditional modest coffee houses to elegant venues of Istanbul, Turkish cafes boast an ambiance immersed in the voice of legendary Sezen Aksu, gypsy clarinet of Selim Sesler and a range of folk and pop talents.Sezen Aksu is Turkey's premier pop diva who has sold over forty million albums. Her songs are more frequently covered than those of any other Turkish artist, and each of Aksu's releases over the past few years has turned into a huge media event, where she often performs with her famous 35-piece Oriental orchestra.
