An exhibition of felt textile art by 50 international artists on the theme of climate change presented by the International Feltmakers Associaiton, FilzNetzwerk e.V (Geramny) & Coordinamento Tessitori (Italy). The only London venue on its UK tour. Climate change has implications not only for the delicate ecological balance of the planet but also for human society.

This exhibition reflects how 50 international textile artists from 12 countries feel about climate change and the effect it may have on their local environment or globally.

Exhbition open from 11th to 21st August (closed 15th & 16th August).

Brisbane will be one of those cities and you join the global action through the Walk Against Warming. On Saturday 12th December, concerts and rallies will be held in cities around the world to promote the need for a safe climate agreement at the UN Climate Change Meeting in Copenhagen. Brisbane will be one of those cities and you can make the difference!

Brisbane will be one of the first cities to appear in the global news day, giving you a place of importance in the chain of events on the 12th December. Your effort to appear with people you know from work, uni, school and home to join Brisbane's Walk Against Warming could make the difference! Your presence can directly impact positive global outcomes through the broadcast image of Brisbane's peacefully expressed desire for climate change agreement.

A gathering to show we are concerned about Climate Change Astro-Chem, Pleased to Jive You speakers and more 75.4% of Australia's CO2[e] emissions come from Energy sector and around 90% of electricity used in Australia is still generated from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal.

Our Government is suggesting a 25% reduction in CO2[e] emissions by 2020. It is strongly suggested by the majority of climate suggestions that to stop the Earth becoming more than 2c warmer, we need reductions of at least 40-50%.

To get this we must invest in renewable energy - and now. We have the technology to do this - we just need the will.

Come to the World Environment Festival/Climate Change Rally on Sat 13 June (www.climaterally.org) in a town near you.

Join thousands across the country showing our Government that we care about this. With public support they can make it happen!!
