| | | Blog Entry | You've seen a great PvP video or a funny screenshot and think to yourself: what AddOn did they use? First, I recommend doing a quick check of all the AddOn articles we've done here at WoW Insider. If you don't find it there, head over to this new thread on the WoW European forums. Players describe or post screenshot links of AddOns they are trying to identify. Then other players name it and post links on where to find it. There are many individual threads asking about UIs and AddOns in the official Interface forums, but this one thread puts those questions and answers in one spot. The thread has just started, but it's an excellent resource for those of us without the time to spend a couple of hours browsing WoW Interface. A note for our non-European readers: you can't post on the European forums without a European WoW account. So it's read only for you. &n Read More... |

As one of these deeds is “the Undying”, it becomes part of my goal; as far as I am concerned, any character of mine that does not have the title is incomplete. Since I have no way to earn the title after I am defeated, I must start a new character each time.To demonstrate that this is how I play most games, and that Lord of the Rings Online is not an exception, I list some examples from other games. In Asheron’s Call, I maintained several collections, the most notable of which were my complete collections of pack dolls, Halloween masks, and bronze statue weapons. In Final Fantasy X, I completed the Sphere Grid so that each of the characters was at their maximum possible power. In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, I achieved 100% completi Read More... |

| | | Blog Entry | Recent Headlines for Guild Wars GoldThe latest edition of the State of the Game wow gold series of articles about the art of PvP in Guild Wars gold has been posted on the Guild Wars official site. This week the focus is on Hero Battles. Although Hero Battles are a relatively new venture in Guild Wars, they have matured rapidly since their inception. One could argue that implementing the 1v1 ladder and placing top Hero Battles on Observer Mode have rapidly developed the metagame for Hero Battles. Although many players would claim those features have stagnated Hero Battles, they have also generated more interest in this new form of PvP.Going into a Hero Battle, a player needs a different frame of mind than other forms of PvP. Much like Alliance Battles, most effective characters in Hero Battles need a degree of self-sufficiency. Players tend not to bring a build balanced for 4v4 play because 4v4 battle occurs infrequently. If one of the players does not want to fight 4v4, it simply won't happen. Instead, Read More... |

We are living a nightmare," said a statement issued by Cho's sister, Sun-Kyung Cho, on the family's behalf. It was the Chos' first public comment since the 23-year-old student killed 32 people and committed suicide Monday in the deadliest shooting rampage in modern U.S. history.Raleigh, N.C., lawyer Wade Smith provided the statement to the AP after the Cho family reached out to him. Smith said the family would not answer any questions, and neither would he."Our family is so very sorry for my brother's unspeakable actions. | | | Blog Entry | MMORPG ( M assively M ultiuser O nline R ole P laying G ame) is a role playing game on the computer played by many people. In the beginning, there was Dungeons & Dragons. This game swept over the gaming landscape in the 1970s, encouraging teenagers and adults to engage in imaginative puzzle-solving. Taking on the personae of a grumpy old wizard, or a brave-but-stupid warrior, or maybe a quiet, sneaky pickpocket, the group would face challenges together, grow in experience, solve riddles, strategize combats, negotiate treaties. It was always a dream of these role players to be able to do this interaction on the computer. In fact, some of the earliest computer games were in essence single player adventures. One of the first on line role playing games was Gemstone III. This was on the GEnie network, and allowed its members to take on roles, kill monsters, chat with each other, buy pretty clothes and items, and have fun. It was enormously addictive in those years. In current times, there are many MMORPGs to cho Read More... |

Jaime had returned to Jersey having graduated, top of her class from the top of her class, from The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford. Jaime went on to record some of Sally’s songs and March 2006 Sally was promoting Jaime singing her songs and HMV Jersey was selling Jaime’s CD. By April 2006 Sally seemed to be attracting other bands, artists and songwriters all wanting to be heard and EDM4MUSIC had arrived! EDM now promote artistes from Jersey, London, Derby, The Algarve, Australia and now The Cameroons with the addition of the young band Elexir who are writing their own material. “My original thinking behind creating EDM4MUSIC was to promote Jersey’s young, emerging talent with Jaime and Off Limits in mind, but without advertising we are now promoting 13 artists/ba Read More... |

Implementing machine vision technology can often be a similarly easy or difficult scenario. Despite numerous advances, vision systems remain somewhat intimidating. However, thanks to new software and improved components, the black art of imaging and image processing is better understood these days. More manufacturers are becoming comfortable with machine vision, thanks to lower costs, simpler designs, increased flexibility, higher reliability, more powerful algorithms and increased processing speed. End users are also benefiting from increased functionality and new capabilities, such as higher resolutions, greater field of view and better color imaging. In addition, there is less propr Read More... |

Being mined from a type of serpentine rock, it was natural, abundant and easy to produce, yet its unique properties made it almost limitlessly useful. It was resistant to chemicals and intense heat. It was an excellent electrical and thermal insulator. Out of its fibers, you could weave a cloth that wouldn't burn. You could even mix it with other materials to make them stronger and more fireproof.ADVERTISEMENTOver the course of the 20th century, American industry — with the government's blessing — found thousands of uses for this miraculous mineral.Woven into a cloth, it was used to insulate electrical wires. Mixed with a binder, it made a fireproof insulation for pipes and ducts. Mixed with cement, it made a host of practically indestructible Read More... |

| | | Blog Entry | As a musician, bands have it easier than a solo artist in terms of cost to make a CD. Other than that, there are little or no differences. For bands/artists who wish to start the process of making, distributing, and getting radio airplay by themselves, believe it or not, you are starting your own record label. Even if your goal is to land a major recording contract, you will still need to gather more attention for your music by cutting, distributing and promoting your own music. Youll have a much better chance at getting a great record deal with a major label if you are successful on your own first. Read More... |

After all, having a piece of a 51 billion dollar industry is an exciting prospect, filled with anticipation for the future right? Not this time. This industry takes away any hope for the future. Any promise of potential greatness is dashed to the ground, becoming ashes and dust when people continue to invest in this business. Warnings have been issued over the years advising people to avoid investing in this global industry. Still people chose to purchase the stock some one share at a time, others in large quantities. I think I could set it up so that when an event is posted to a blog via this plugin it is recognised as an event and posted to the event listings under the correct date, categories, city, etc. In simple terms: The use of microformats like hcalendar could provide lots of interesting ways for people to syndicate data such as event details, locations, contact details, etc to to other sites using standard blogging software while still keeping the data in seperate machine-useable fields. | | | Blog Entry | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Nashville, TN--October 3, 2005--Who knew that this country singer was really a closet chanteuse? Dyann Woody makes a seamless transition from 'Yee Haw' to 'Ooh La La'. She not only has the voice of an angelic siren, but what will amaze you even more is just how easy and pleasing her music is to listen to. She reaches across many genres and meshes elements of '70's singer/songwriter style, jazz, blues and pop with the art of a well-crafted lyric. Although this is Dyann's first solo album, she has shared musical success with her husband as part of the Country Music Group, The Woodys. Their debut album on Rounder Records went #1 on the Americana charts; they were voted the Top County Vocal Duo at the International Music News Awards and have received worldwide critical acclaim for all three of their albums. However, there was still a part of Dyann that was musically unfulfilled. She wanted to write songs that expressed all of the emotions and experiences that she and other women h Read More... |

Genres begat micro-genres, which mutated into wholly new forms. Some conferred coolness, others solidified into cheese. That, in itself, was fine because, in clubland, nothing is worse than a tired sound. But DJs got so bent out of shape over how to categorize a particular track or producer, they often seemed to drown in the sea of minutiae.
