The New Deal is high energy three-piece live electronic band from Canada. With a drummer (Darren Shearer), bass guitarist (Dan Kurtz, now playing with Dragonette), and keyboard player (Jamie Shields), the music incorporates many elements of modern electronica, which they have branded live progressive breakbeat house.

The band formed in 1998 after a friendly, impromptu jam session they had at the Toronto venue the Comfort Zone. Upon listening to a recording of the show, they were transfixed by how much it sounded like a DJ mix. They subsequently released the jam session as their first album, This Is Live.

Originally billing themselves as an acid jazz group, they soon found themselves swept up into the emerging musical genre of livetronica. The drumming of Shearer often resembles the simplicity of a drum machine, while still tastefully complementing the accompanying music. L i q u i d C r y s t a l S o u n d s :::::::::::::::::: Dominance ::::::::::::::::: Liquid Crystal Sounds (LCS) has clearly formed a footprint in the Finnish clubbing scene. Run by a bunch of Brits, LCS was established over two years ago by DJ's Progression from London, and Ali King from Belfast. Offering a different perspective of music and perceptions from back in Blighty, LCS has gone from strength to strength and established itself as a trademark nighterie! After our successful "Subliminal" event at Tampere's Groove Bar in arctic January, we return again to bring another dose of our underground sound.

Canadian indie rock band The Weakerthans walk an archipelago of influences from rock to folk to alt-country and beyond, led by lyrics tutored in the best of contemporary literature and progressive politics.The band was formed in 1997 in Winnipeg, by John K. Samson. The Weakerthans write and perform songs with voices, guitars, and drums. They have developed a strong and dedicated following that crosses the boundaries of genres and fashions.

Labels like Punk or Alternative or Rock may seem appropriate, but they would hope Honest would do. "We write the only songs we know how to write: songs that reflect the place we come from, musically and geographically, the community we live in, and the struggle for any one person to connect with another in a meaningful way."

STORY On 11th of september 2004 there was born an organization which created a Finnish club party called Senzation. Senzation had its events on a clubs and beaches in South Carelia. Autumn 2005 Senzation had no place to go on, so it was put on a break.

Now in 2009 the club will be awaken again. There will be a monthly club running in Lappeenranta's nightlife. This high quality dance event will appear in a nightclub Wiltsu.

Music style of the first event is going to be a cross section of everything that Senzation WAS almost 5 years ago; house, progressive, trance (we call it ihq-kiksu!) and some hard bangin'.

So, there's no other place to be. Really - you have to see this!
