Roadhouse Rebels is an Aussie 60's & 70's pub rock blues covers band with the emphasise on sounding like the music from that era using authentic instruments such as Ray Vanderby's 1959 Hammond C3 organ and Leslie rotating speaker. Roadhouse Rebels was founded in 2007 by veteran sideman Hammond organist Ray Vanderby and the band members have had many years experience performing songs from this classic rock blues era both in their own bands as well as being hired as sidemen to some of Australia's top artists including: Blackfeather, Doug Parkinson, Marcia Hines and Stevie Wright. By the looks of the online chitchat, practically the entire neighborhood has stopped in to the new place to sample the wares and file early reviews. And what's the verdict? Some are early fans, praising the pork, the ribs, the sides, the biscuits.
