About LADYFINGERS

LADYFINGERS is the alter ego of eccentric New Jersey-born artist, Adam Weiner. His music is a spastic brew of lo-fi rock, rockabilly, punk, and cabaret stylings. Weiner developed the Ladyfingers aesthetic of wiggy theatrics and self-depracation while living and performing in New York City for 8 years. Drawing from such artists as Tom Waits, Ween, Hasil Adkins, and Cab Calloway, Weiners live shows are a rush of nervous energy and dark humor. His rubber room boogie-woogie (Connect Savannah), finds him yelping and crooning his heart out over a flood of gnarly guitar, slinky whorehouse piano, and his patented hard maple stompbox. With his hair piled high, and his eyes popping, Ladyfingers morphs from a yelping Nu-Elvis, to a menacing carnival charlatan, to a smarmy cabaret croonerall within a few tender moments.

It's been a few years since the release of the compilation album "Preston Rockabilly" which features the now legendary Australian Rockabilly giants, Wes Pudsey and the Sonic Aces, The Flatfoot Shakers and The Satellites. Back in August of 1999, these three accomplished bands entered the Preston recording studios in Melbourne to cut an album of red hot rockin' tunes and the album is a now sought after collectors item.

It's been a long time between drinks, but nearly 10 years on, a new breed of fresh Rockabilly talent has emerged to follow in the footsteps of these talented artists.

Pat Capocci, Danny and the Cosmic Tremors, and Ezra Lee make up the trio of artists to be featured on the follow up album "Out of The Valley" Preston Rockabilly - Volume 2.

All that has changed with the launch of "Rockin' and Swingin' at The Oxford Art Factory", a monthly gig planned for the last Sunday of each month.
