And a strangely affecting and even touching electro-power ballad at that. Don't they know that electronic bands are meant to just make the same record and over and over again? Sheeesh. And what's with those new collaborations with those denizens of the dubstep deep Monster Zoku Onsomb? Are they weird but kinda catchy or what? And Thrussell (if it really is Thrussell?) now he sounds a bit like a mutant Berlin cabaret singer from the 1920s over an elastic mashed-up beat. This really is too much.

Minneapolis based music studio C-Sharp Productions is featured in an article in the April issue of More Magazine. The magazine is a national women's magazine and is on newsstands around the country now.

"The magazine did a story on women who followed their dreams. One of the dreams they featured was recording a CD," Chad Sharp president of C-Sharp Productions explains. "They contacted me to find out what it costs to record a CD."

Sharp has been producing and recording CD's with independent artists and bands since he started C-Sharp Productions in 1996. Sharp moved the company to Minneapolis from Mitchell, SD in 2007. He has worked on projects in many styles like pop, country, rock, dance and R&B. Sharp said besides recording with artists he also helps them with traditional and online music promotion.

"The music industry is changing very quickly. Online promotion is the future and it is really happening right now," Sharp says.

As the Great Lakes Songwriting Contest celebrates its fifth year of operations, the entry fee has been lowered and the Grand Prize increased.

The recording engineers Peter Barker, Keith Wechsler and Drew Daniels really got into listening to the music and providing the creative and technical feedback to artists.
