Kate Miller-Heidke heapsaflash
Event
Wednesday 11th February 2009

Clarendon Guesthouse. Katoomba

Kate has announced a massive nation-wide tour to accompany her new single, 'Caught In The Crowd'. One of the most talked about acts on the touring circuit, Kate is criss crossing the country in Feb/Mar Nicole Brophy A brilliantly tangled mix of exuberance and invention, fearlessness and fun, Kate Miller-Heidke released her sophomore album "Curiouser" in October of last year. The follow up to her critically acclaimed 2007 debut - the 4 x ARIA award nominated and gold selling "Little Eve" - "Curiouser" debuted at #8 in the ARIA album charts, and the reaction from fans and media alike was instantaneous:

"Big pianos, big vocals, real chills-up-the-spine stuff. She's good, this girl."

The Age Magazine

"Playful , quirky and endearingly tongue-in-cheek, Miller-Heidke is the pop talent to look out for. . . . Experimental and hook heavy, her new songs fall into two gangs - fun and witty or powerful, emotional and reflective. This is one of the few 2008 albums where every song is a killer, no filler."

70's SOLID GOLD is a fun, vibrant celebration of all that today's generation loved about the 70's culture! DIRECTORS NOTE

70's SOLID GOLD is a fun, vibrant celebration of all that today's generation loved about the 70's culture! An era that embraced everything from skin tight flares to paisley kaftans, free love to political rallies, Hendrix to Travolta. The 70's was a time we associate with the search for freedom, socially, sexually, and spiritually! I hope the 'Baby Boomers' in the audience will forgive any historical inaccuracies but hey, it's a musical comedy, not a documentary.

So drink up, chow down, and sing along at the top of your lungs, and party with us as we bring you

Polaroid Fame - Facing Extinction East Coast Tour - Sunday July 20 -The Grand Junction Hotel, Maitland Polaroid Fame Polaroid Fame

Announcing their debut single 'Facing Extinction'

and Facing Extinction East-Coast Tour

A recent with Pete Murray in Melbourne's The Age newspaper featured a pic of 'what's on Pete Murray's iPod'. First on the list, just above Credence Clearwater Revival, was a band called The Frankie Band (now Polaroid Fame) - with the words "Young exciting indie band from the Byron Bay area (of NSW)."

Byron Bay quintet Polaroid Fame are proud to announce the release of their debut single 'Facing Extinction' - and to celebrate are hitting the bitumen on the Facing Extinction east-coast tour. The tour will see them yo-yoing up and down the eastern seaboard throughout June, July and August.

Whilst Polaroid Fame may hail from the Northern NSW laidback surfing Mecca that is Byron Bay, they are not another acoustic rootsy band singing about the ocean. Their debut single is a driving

Tammy Ingram Launches "Modern Love" & East Coast Tour Tammy Ingram Tammy Ingram

Announcing the release of her debut EP 'Modern Love' & East Coast Tour dates

"Where Is Modern Love?"

Take some PJ Harvey, Joan as Policewoman, Beth Orton and the Black Keys, arm it with a '78 Gibson Les Paul and occasional loop pedal - and you're starting to get the Tammy Ingram picture. Tammy takes the classic singer/songwriter sound and rubs its face in the dirt.

Tammy's four track debut EP 'Modern Love' treks the borders of alternative music through Indie Folk 'n' Roll, rock grit and lavish pop. It's this 'thrust through' chemistry that has Tammy quickly establishing herself as one of Australia's favourite female artists.

The EP foundations were laid in the jungles of Belize, a tiny Central American country south of Mexico. It was here that the seeds were planted for 'Song For New York', before the track was fleshed in the same city that lends its name to the song.
