BEIJING, Oct. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- China's largest oil and gas producer, China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), has reached a deal with Europe's largest oil refiner Total in jointly tapping the country's domestic oil reserve in a move to meet its surging demand for energy.

The Sino-French oil company alliance will work on the Sulige gas field, located in the Ordos Basin in northwest China, Liu Weijiang, said CNPC spokesman for overseas business, quoted by Saturday's China Daily.

Industry sources said the Sulige field has gas reserves of up to 602.6 billion cubic meters.

"It is only a set of framework agreements, and more follow-up projects are still under discussion," Liu said on Friday.

A creative and cultural exchange of music ideas, the Academy teams established artists with the worlds best up and coming talent in two 12-day semesters of hands-on workshops and discussions about how life in the music industry really goes down.

In its 10 year history the Red Bull Music Academy has been held annually in some of the worlds most vibrant and musically savvy cities including; New York, Dublin, Melbourne, Rome, Seattle, San Paulo and most recently, Toronto. 2008 sees the Academy head to Barcelona, Spain, where world-class clubs pop 'til dawn and the terms 'fusion' and 'avant-garde' are not buzz words but techniques to be applied to everything from deconstructed orchestras to art installations overflowing on street corners.

Listen 2 Ya Mix launched New York and Los Angeles February sessions. The recording engineers Peter Barker, Keith Wechsler and Drew Daniels really got into listening to the music and providing the creative and technical feedback to artists. All recording engineers in NY and LA got up from the dais and went to the back of the room to have a more accurate listening position, treating Listen 2 Ya Mix as they would any professional critical listening situation. Amidio, Inc has now released Noise.io - a full-featured sound synthesizer for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Ive written about this cool iPhone app before, but it was not available in the App Store until now, so I post about it here again. Amidio mailed me and offered me a copy of it to test. It would be cool, if I only have the time We will see. Noise.io is capable of creating all kinds of melodic sequences, basses, leads, keys, bells, percussive sounds and sound effects. 

With this iPhone app its possible to create 303-like acid basslines or any other melodies using the buit-in sequencer, or jamming live in sync with the rhythm using the TapBPM feature.
