Over a short but prosperous career, POLO CLUB have won the hearts and ears of many fans, even the judges of the Victorian final of the MTV Kickstart and Triple J Unearthed/Parklife competitions. Drawing influences from innovators such as The Cool Kids, Dangermouse and J.Dilla, emcee Urban Monk and producer Camalot The Cameleon bring a new sound to the local hip-hop landscape, where each track is an adventure, a new experiment. Swampy rockers, SixFtHick perform a Melbourne send off show before hitting Europe. SixFtHick, Australias biggest anomaly, a 13-year-old band who despite playing over 700 shows, performing over 60 east coast Australian tours, touring Europe and Japan, has so far evaded the mainstreams attention. Their performance will be filmed for a documentary, Seminal Urges, which follows SixFtHick across Europe. The doco will be air on JTV in 2009. Adding even more fat to the bill is ROOT!
