The build up to Saturday was big, in both a perspective of what we would have to deliver for the audience to have a good time and what we as a label were betting. Here’s the thing, Home Skillet Records has released four albums in four years - it’s a side hustle, we do this for love. Our bet was this - Home Skillet Record’s artists could carry most of a show and prep an audience for the headline act we brought in, Sonny and the Sunsets. We also made a big push to release four albums Saturday night. With all of this, the pressure was big on our label’s artists to deliver - and they did. The night started off with Sam Cavanaugh playing some solo singer/songwriter music while people were filing in. It’s always good to see the up and comers playing their own stuff. The current tax is 2 cents per can. That's an increase of about 1,400 percent. Beall said the tax would generate $2 billion a year to fund health care services, crime prevention and programs to prevent underage drinking and addiction. 'The people who use alcohol should pay for part of the cost to society, just like we've accepted that concept with tobacco,' Beall said." It's not expected to get the needed two-thirds approval. Eventually persuading his parents to allow him to ditch the brass bugle and bring a drum set into the house, Mark held the beat down for a New Wave alternative cover band (reworking The The, The Smiths, The Cure, Front 242, Ministry and the like) that tore through countless garages, gymnasiums, churches and Battle of the Bands. As Mark's musical tastes took a turn for the electronic, he dove head-first into the luscious world of turntables and nightclubs, a shift reflected by his band becoming the high school's first to incorporate a drum machine in its setup.
