The 70's and 80's have been named the Golden Era of Modern Egyptian

Dance. In this workshop, Serena has created a new choreography to the song

"Sowar El Habibah" from Hossam's multi award winning album "Faddah".

Grand introduction, intricate Baladi Dancing within the composition, powerful

Saidi and much more. This music is a revival of the times when the big names

of dance such as Mona El Said, Hala El Safy, Shushu Amin & Azza Sherif

enjoyed being the queens of the dance in Egypt's club scene.

Starter Space showcases young Queensland artists aged 30 and under and provides an exciting opportunity to present the new work of young artists to a wide audience. From 5 April - 21 July 2008, Carly Scoufos' work will be exhibited in Starter Space. Scoufos’ site-specific sculptural work explores relationships between its materials and the architectural space it occupies. Each piece of the sculpture is skillfully woven and fitted together to transform the wall’s surface. Scoufos is a recent graduate from Honours in Fine Arts at the Queensland College of Art, Brisbane.
